  15.         Greetings!  If you took the time to download this 1.7 Meg file, you
  16.     must be as big a Doom freak as I.  With the anticipation of the modem
  17.     patch nearly killing us all, here is something to relieve the stress.
  18.     Goofy Doom uses Bill Neisius' Doom sound utility to replace the current
  19.     sounds with a batch of side splitting custom and collected sounds that
  20.     will hopefully entertain you as much as they do me.  If you have any
  21.     comments/questions, please e-mail one of the addresses at the bottom of
  22.     this file.

  28.     DMGOOFY path_to_archive

  30.     path_to_archive is the location of the files that accompanied this readme.

  32.         The DMGOOFY program must be run from within the Doom directory where
  33.     the sounds are to be installed, and the Doom sound utility DMAUD.EXE must 
  34.     be in this directory as well.

  39.          THE EFFECTS OF THIS PROGRAM ARE IRREVERSABLE!!  You will either have 
  40.      to make a backup of the DOOM.WAD/DOOM1.WAD file and copy them back later, 
  41.      or reinstall from the original disks if you want to hear the original  
  42.      sounds.  This program doesn't make any provisions for backing up files,
  43.      since the registered version requires 10 megabytes of space.

  45.      REGISTER DOOM!  Those creative people at id need to eat in order to think
  46.      clearly enough to write other, awesome games such as Doom.  Show them how
  47.      much you really like Doom by registering it.  Besides, Episodes two and 
  48.      three make Episode one look like a day at Disneyland!
